‘Twain’ highlights arts festival this weekend

“An Evening with Mark Twain” will be the featured performance during the second annual Classic Arts Festival, Aug. 30 and 31, at the Centre Square Fine Arts Building in Lebanon.
Robert Brock will be portraying Mark Twain at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Brock was the artistic director of the Kentucky Repertory Theatre (formerly Horse Cave Theatre) for nine years. He has acted and directed in more than 65 professional productions, including shows at Actors Theatre of Louisville, the Folger Shakespeare Theatre, the Fulton Opera House and Off-Broadway with the Blue Light Theatre.
Brock teaches at Lindsey Wilson College, where he is the assistant professor of theatre.
To accompany Brock’s performance, Central Kentucky artists will be displaying their works from 6 to 9 p.m. each night. Wineries will be offering their products to sip or purchase.
Local caterers are providing complimentary Hors d’oeuvres, and local musicians will be providing accompaniment.
