The Marion County 11-year-old baseball all-stars were scheduled to play Russell County tonight at South Hardin Little League in the 5th District baseball tournament, but that game has been postponed again.

The 11-year-olds are the only Marion County baseball team still alive in the district tournament. Marion County has already lost once in the double-elimination tournament.

The winner will advance to the championship round against Campbellsville, who has not yet lost in the tournament.

Both the 9-10 and 11-12 baseball teams suffered their second losses on Tuesday (in games that had been originally scheduled for Monday).

Washington County defeated Marion County, 8-7, in the 9-10 game.

Coach Matt Thompson said Marion County was leading by one run going into the final inning, but Washington County scored twice to get the win.

Overall, Thompson said his team did well in the tournament.

"We played three very good games," he said.

In the 11-12 game, Marion County lost, 9-8.
