The Marion County Public School System has missed 15 days because of snow, and Mother Nature probably has a few more flurries and flakes up her sleeves before winter is over. Last February, school was out for seven days because of snow.

The Marion County Board of Education is still uncertain how local schools are going to make up all of the missed days. Using part or all of Spring Break could be an option.
