2011 Marion County Junior Miss is Saturday, Aug. 7

Marion County Junior Miss, Inc. will present the 2011 Marion Junior Miss Program on Saturday, Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. at Marion County High School. Thirty-three young ladies will participate in the program with a theme this year of "Thriller of a Lifetime." The Junior Miss Program logo is "emphasis on education" and its participants will be judged on scholastics, interview, talent, fitness, and self-expression.

The 2011 committee consists of Program Chairpersons Mary Anne Blair and Bernadette O'Daniel, Judges Chairpersons Jennifer Osbourne and Manette Young, Publicity and College Scholarship Chairpersons Sandra Gribbins, Karen Purdom, and Mary Taylor.

Tickets for the 2011 Marion County Junior Miss Program will go on sale today, Wednesday, July 28, and will continue through Aug. 7 at the following locations: Citizens National Bank, Community Trust Bank, Farmers National Bank, US Bank and Peoples Bank. Tickets will be $6 in advance and $8 at the door. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for admission.
