The Calvary Congress 4-H Club met in Ms. Parman’s 5th grade class at Calvary Elementary on Nov. 11, 2011. To start things off, Santana Alvarez, vice-president, lead the 4-H pledge. The Calvary Congress is ready for Thanksgiving! As the club presented their program, we tried to get their class into the Thanksgiving spirit. After the presentation they began talking about Election Day. As we closed up our meeting, two members of our club, Jaxon Wheatley and Travis Wiser, both motioned for the meeting to be adjourned.

The Calvary Congress 4-H Club met on Dec. 9, 2011 at Calvary Elementary School. They were excited about the week’s presentation. To start off, Travis Wiser read last week’s minutes. After the minutes had been read, the club shared our presentation. We passed out Santa Claus Christmas ornaments and papers on how to make them, Jessah Hughes read out loud the instructions on how to make them.
Then Mrs. Schmal gave out Christmas gift certificates. They are cards that say that you will do something special for a certain person. When the club got finished addressing the gift certificates, we began to adjourn the meeting.
Jaxon Wheatley motioned to adjourn the meeting and Mckenzie Edwards seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting.

The Green Hornet 4-H Club in the St. Augustine 5th grade met Oct. 20, 2011. There was some old business. Mrs. Schmal asked a student to check her enrollment form. There was no new business. Vice-president Raley Jo Wright introduced the day’s program about a word search. Carl Olde Loouis made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Kelly Miles seconded and the motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 2:24 p.m.

The Green Hornets 4-H Club at St. Augustine met in Mrs. Higdon’s 5th grade class on Nov. 17, 2011. There was no old business. There was no new business. Vice-President Raley Jo Wright introduced the day’s program about making football helmets. There was one announcement. Mrs. Schmal gave out a newsletter. McKinley Patrick made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Kelly Miles seconded the motion. The motion was carried. The meeting was adjourned at 2:33.

The Green Team 4-H Club met in Ms. Thompson’s 3rd/4th grade classroom at St. Augustine on Oct. 20, 2011. We shared our favorite Halloween costumes. Then we filled out our 4-H enrollment form. We filled out information about ourselves and what we are interested in. Then everyone got a 4-H newsletter to find any kind of information or if we have any questions or comments. Then the meeting ended with a few students that did motion to adjourn the meeting. Then we had a discussion about the motion. Then the meeting was over.

The Green Team 4-H Club met in Ms. Thompson’s class on Nov. 17, 2011. St. Augustine 3rd/4th-grade 4-H club started the meeting by asking every student what they wanted for Christmas. After that the secretary read out the minutes of the last meeting. After that some students approved the minutes that were read. Then we had the question and voted. Then the president asked for any old business, then Mrs. Schmal presented a program about teeth and how much they help you, and how much you need them so you have to take care of them. We also learned how you can hurt them. Then we met Kangy the Kangaroo and he showed us how to brush our teeth correctly. Then we had some volunteers to show the class how to floss, and then we learned that Kentucky was #2 in America with the most toothless people. Then we took a mini Mountain Dew and we read the label and found out that even the small bottle has 47 grams of sugar. Then we had a few students that did a motion to adjourn the meeting. Then we did a discussion about the motion then the meeting was over.
The Jr. Dragons 4-H Club met Nov. 11 at Calvary elementary. The meeting was called to order by President Cade. Caden led the 4-H pledge. The secretary called the roll and each member responded with their favorite thing about fall. Enrollment forms were filled out. Vice-President Caden introduced the day’s program about a word search. Mrs. Schmal handed out a newsletter. Thomas Martin made a motion to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried. Sammie Jo Montgomery seconded the motion. The motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 2:45 p.m.

The December meeting of the Jr. Dragons 4-H Club was called to order by President Cade. Caden led the 4-H club pledge. The secretary called the roll and each member responded with their favorite thing they want for Christmas. The secretary’s minutes from the last meeting were read. Carl Hall made a motion to approve the minutes. Thomas Martin seconded the motion. The motion carried to approve the minutes as read. Several students filled out enrollment forms. There was no new business. Vice-President Caden introduced the day’s program about holiday gift certificate. Mrs. Schmal handed out a newsletter. Andrew Tungate made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Paige Fancher seconded the motion. The motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 2:40.
