Bible Day Camp
Gravel Switch United Methodist Church will be hosting a Bible Day Camp from 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21. The event will include music, lessons, crafts, games, and at 5:30 p.m. there will be a community cookout and live music with a campfire and story telling.
Prayer Day
St. Catharine Motherhouse will hold its monthly Contemplative Prayer Day from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21. No reservations necessary. The day includes prayer sessions with meditative walks, silence, personal prayer and a group study of “The Cloud of Unknowing” and “Teresa of Avila’s Mansions.” The day ends with meditative sharing and a blessing. Come & See Weekend with a Twist
Sisters of St. Benedict, Ferdinand, Ind. - Oct. 18-20, 2013. For single, Catholic woman ages 18 to 40. Get to know our Benedictine sisters, share in our community life and prayer, and meet other women who are considering religious life. This weekend will include our Benedictine Hills Pilgrimage. Benedictine Hills Pilgrimage
The women’s and men’s Benedictine communities of Monastery Immaculate Conception and Saint Meinrad Archabbey are co-sponsoring a pilgrimage for high school youth and young adults Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at 12:00 (CDT) The Pilgrimage will include prayer with the Monks and Sisters, a six mile prayerful walk along country roads from Saint Meinrad to Ferdinand, and supper with the religious.
