Representatives of the AARP TaxAide Program will be in Marion County each Wednesday in February and March and April 2 and April 9 to assist individuals who need help preparing and filing income tax returns.
The TaxAide representatives will be at the Marion County Extension Office from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Wednesday in February, from 1 to 5 p.m. every Wednesday in March and April 2 and April 9.
The TaxAide Program provides help to people of all ages with low to moderate incomes. Anyone seeking assistance should be aware that the program representatives cannot help with business, farm, cancellation of debt or rentals that include depreciation and expenses.
Anyone seeking assistance should bring a photo ID, Social Security cards for anyone listed on the return, a copy of last year’s return, and any statements showing any income. Anyone who is itemizing deductions should also bring receipts or cancelled checks.
