All-Stars move on to state

Marion County's 11-and-12-year-old All-Stars advanced to the state tournament by finishing the district tournament undefeated after pool play and two tournament style games. The All-Stars punched their ticket to Franklin for the state tournament on Sunday at Graham Memorial Park with an 11-8 win over Russell County.

The All-Stars begin play on July 17 at Franklin. More details will be reported in next week's edition.
