BackPack Program needs financial support

Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland (FAKH) is gearing up for another school year for the BackPack Program. Approximately 5,000 children are projected to be served this year. The children on the program are first identified by school officials for being at-risk for being hungry on the weekends. Once identified and a permission slip is signed by a parent, each child will receive a bag of 10-15 kid-friendly food items each week throughout the entire school year.
