Baseball Knights season ended early

-A A +A
By Jessica Veatch and Josh Veatch

With a team featuring six seniors, expectations were high for the Marion County Knights baseball team. The Knights did manage to win 18 games, but lost 13 and fell in a heartbreaker in the opening round of the district tournament to Taylor County 8-5 in extra innings.
The season started March 19 with a loss to Nelson County. A loss to Danville followed, and then the Knights picked up a pair of wins to even their record at 2-2. The roller coaster ride continued for the Knights as they went 3-4 over their next seven games.
