The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for much of southern Indiana and central Kentucky, including Marion County and the surrounding area.
Forecasters are predicting a 10 percent chance snow this afternoon and tonight, Jan. 5, and continued cold weather for the remainder of the week.
The storm system that will be moving through the region is predicted to bring snow to central Kentucky during the day Thursday. Based on the lastest weather data, the NWS is predicting snowfall of up to four inches across the area.
