Regular readers of my column have heard stories many times about Grandma and Grandpa Dillon and their garden. They had a HUGE back yard, and virtually every square foot was taken up with some vegetable, fruit or flower.

Grandpa fussed with Grandma when she would put flowers in the vegetable garden, said he didn't want to waste space on something he couldn't eat, but she did it anyway, and it sure made for a beautiful garden.
