Once every three months, Marion Adjustment Center hosts a meeting of its community relations committee. The committee has 39 members, but its rare for all of them to attend any meeting, especially the ones that are held at MAC itself. The most recent meeting was held June 30 at the prison. The meeting typically involves an update on activities at MAC and information on how MAC has been active in the community, such as providing 2,970 hours of community service between March 1 and May 31. Last week's meeting was a little different from previous meetings I'd attended.
