Great-grandparents are Ken and Mary Bailey of Franklin, Bill and Orella Preston of Maysville and Mary Osborne and Virgie Mattingly of Lebanon. His sister, Claire Elizabeth, is deceased.

Great-grandparents are Joyce Ann Thomas of Raywick and the late Charles E. Thomas, John and Pat Bischoff of Louisville and the late Louis and Celeste Hughes.
