Boswell, Guthrie want to be the new face of Second District

Ron Lewis has represented Kentucky’s Second Congressional district since 1994. But when it was time to file for the primary election this year, he withdrew his candidacy on the last day candidates could file. Initially, Lewis’ chief of staff filed to take his place in the Republican primary, but so did Brett Guthrie. When Lewis’ chief of staff withdrew, Guthrie was the only Republican candidate. On the Democratic side, State Sen. David Boswell claimed his party’s nomination by defeating Reid Haire in the primary. Nov.
