Burdette/Swencki fall in second round at state

Thursday, the Marion County Knights tennis doubles team of sophomore Jacob Burdette and junior Noah Swencki traveled to Sayre High School in Lexington to compete in the state tennis tournament. Burdette and Swencki won the regional competition last week. The dynamic duo were able to make it through one round of the state level, but fell in the second round of action.
In the first round, Burdette and Swencki played Chad Higgins and Cole McCreary of Lawrence County. They were able to defeat this team in two sets (6-2) and (6-2).
