A burglar who attempted to rob Higdon's Foodtown early Monday morning was caught and arrested by the Lebanon Police Department.
According to Lebanon Police Chief Shelton Young, a burglar alarm went off at Higdon's Foodtown at 1:47 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5. Lebanon Police Officers responded to the scene and, after gaining entry, searched the building.
James O. Porter was discovered in the store's office area trying to steal cash and was charged with first-degree burglary and first-degree criminal damage to property.
