Campbellsville man indicted for sodomy

McQuinn O. Johnson, 35, of 206 Candace Street in Campbellsville was indicted on a charge of first-degree sodomy in Marion Circuit Court recently. According to the indictment, on or about April 29, Johnson engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with another person by forcible compulsion.

His bond was the same as his bond in a previous case, which was $150,000.

In other indictments:

- Bradley Underwood, 37, of 870 Tatum Lane in Lebanon was indicted for first-degree sodomy and two counts first-degree sexual abuse.

According to the indictment, on or about May 2010, Underwood engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 12 by forcible compulsion or incapable of consent because she was under 12 years old. The indictment also reads that he subjected another person under the age of 12 to sexual contact by forcible compulsion or incapable of consent because she was under 12 years old.

His bond was set at 10 percent of $20,000 with the condition that he has no contact with the victim.

- Stephanie Nichols, 33, of 870 Tatum Lane in Lebanon was indicted for first-degree sodomy.

According to the indictment, on or about May 2010, Nichols engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 12 by forcible compulsion or incapable of consent because she was under 12 years old.

Her bond was set at 10 percent of $20,000 with the condition that she has no contact with the victim.

- William David Rigdon, 26, of 1590 Sulphur Springs Road in Lebanon was indicted for first-degree assault.

According to the indictment, on or about Nov. 15, Rigdon intentionally caused serious physical injury to another by means of a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument or under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life by wantonly engaging in conduct that created a grave risk of death to another and thereby caused serious physical injury to another.

His bond was set at $30,000.

- Timothy Ray Mays, 39, of 780 Sulphur Springs Road in Lebanon was indicted for DUI fourth offense (aggravator), operating a motor vehicle while license suspended for DUI, careless driving and disregarding a stop sign.

According to the indictment, on or about Nov. 13, Mays was driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other substances that impaired his driving ability, and this was his fourth or subsequent offense.

His bond was set at $15,000 with the condition that he use no drugs or alcohol.

- Jason Wayne, 32, of 3510 Fairground Road in Lebanon was indicted for second-degree assault and second-degree persistent felony offender.

According to the indictment, on or about Nov. 18, Wayne intentionally caused physical harm to another person by means of a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument. The indictment also reads that he was over the age of 21 and stood convicted of at least one felony after his 18th birthday.

His bond was set at 10 percent of $25,000.

- Frank Edward Livers, 34, of 1210 Homestead Valley Road in New Hope was indicted in two separate indictments for trafficking in marijuana less than eight ounces while in possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree persistent felony offender and for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to the first indictment, on or about Oct. 31, Livers knowingly trafficked in marijuana (less than eight ounces) while in possession of a firearm. The indictment also reads that he was over the age of 21 and stood convicted of at least one felony after his 18th birthday.

According to the second indictment, on or about Oct. 31, Livers possessed, manufactured or transported a firearm when he has been convicted of a felony in any state or federal court.

His bonds were set at 10 percent of $15,000 and 10 percent of $10,000.

- Samual E. Buckman, 37, of 10742 Calvary Road in Lebanon was indicted for second-degree assault.

According to the indictment, on or about July 1, Buckman intentionally caused physical harm to another person by means of a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument.

His bond was set at 10 percent of $20,000 with the condition that he has no contact with the victim.

- Emmitt Lee Cowherd, 47, of 555 Maple Street Apartments No. 44 in Lebanon was indicted for first-degree possession of a controlled substance second offense, first-degree fleeing or evading, second-degree fleeing or evading police, possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree wanton endangerment, DUI second or subsequent offense, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, failure to produce an insurance card, reckless driving and first-degree persistent felony offender.

According to the indictment, on or about Oct. 2, Cowherd, possessed a controlled substance classified as a schedule I or II narcotic and this was his second or subsequent offense. The indictment also reads that he disobeyed a direction to stop his motor vehicle given by a person recognized to be a police officer and by fleeing or eluding caused or created a substantial risk of serious physical injury or death to any person or property.

The indictment also reads that he was over 21 and stood convicted of at least two prior felonies after his 18th birthday.

His bond was set at 10 percent of $15,000 with the conditions that he use no drugs or alcohol.

- Malcome R. Marable Sr., 45, of 745 W. Main Street in Lebanon was indicted for third-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking over $500.

According to the indictment, on or about Oct. 23, Marable knowingly entered or remained unlawfully in a building with intent to commit a crime.

His bond was set at 10 percent of $10,000 with the condition that he has no contact with the victim or the victim's premises.

- Korey Phillips, 24, of 330 Shuck Avenue in Lebanon was indicted for flagrant non-support.

According to the indictment, between Nov. 19, 2007, and Dec. 30, 2010, Phillips persistently failed to provide support for his minor child, which he could reasonably provide and has a duty to provide by virtue of a court order, and that his failure to pay has resulted in arrears of more than $1,000.

His bond was set at $1,000, non-refundable.

- Christy Nolley Baker, 34, of 375 Oil Slade Road in Campbellsville was indicted on two counts each of first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor and second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.

According to the indictment, on or about Oct. 19, Baker knowingly induced, assisted or caused a minor to engage in illegal controlled substance activity other than marijuana and in activity involving marijuana.

Her bond was set at $1,000 with the condition that she have no contact with the victim.
