Celebration of Black History is Feb. 24

The Marion County Chapter of the NAACP will be hosting its annual Celebration of Black History at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at Centre Square in Lebanon.
The guest speakers this year are husband and wife, Rev. Derrick and Rev. Maricela McElroy. Derrick McElroy is a former Lebanon resident who is now the youth minister for Baca Miracle Center Ministries in Louisville. He recently addressed a group at the United Presbyterian Church in Lebanon.
The event will include musical entertainment from members of the McElroy family and the Young Men of Faith. The Marion County Youth Center will also perform during the celebration.
Light refreshments will be served at the completion of the program.
