Cheer squad breaks barriers

Next year's Marion County High School cheerleading squad will look a bit different than it ever has before. No, not because of the loss of graduating seniors, but because of the addition of some key members. Ricky Grubbs, Dylan Smothers, Cody Colvin, and Joe Carl will be joining this year's squad. In addition to the four boys on the team, there will also be 14 girls. The 18-member team took part in a camp held at Marion County High School from June 16-18 conducted by the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) from Dallas, Texas.
