A chickenpox outbreak has been reported in Marion County schools. Children who develop the disease will not be allowed to attend school until the blisters that are a symptom of the disease have dried into scabs, according to a letter to parents by Paula Mattingly, RN, the clinical director of the Marion County Health Center. The letter was sent home with students Friday.
