God’s Hands of Hope
A benefit concert for those affected by recent tornadoes and floods in midwest and southern states will be held from 6-10 p.m. Friday, May 27, at the Perryville Battlefield (Boyle County High School if inclement weather). The event is hosted by Perryville Christian Church in partnership with Stuart Powell Ford, Wilder Funeral Home and Inter-County Energy Cooperative. There will also be a silent auction of donated items; food from local vendors, beverages and baked goods from the Perryville Christian Church Youth Group.
Admission is one or more of the following items: hand towels measuring approximately 16” by 28”, washcloths, wide tooth combs, nail clippers, bath size bars of soap (in wrapper), toothbrushes (in original packaging) (no toothpaste) or standard size Band-aids.
100 percent of the funds raised will be given to Week of Compassion, the Disaster Relief organization of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) to be used directly for relief efforts in the affected areas.

New Beginnings Community Church located 8876 Perryville Road, Springfield, will have a revival on June 5-8 at 6:30 each night. The speakers will be: June 5 - Jeff Edwards; June 6 - Neal Gordon; and June 7 and 8 - Billy Curle.

Bean and cornbread supper
