On Dec. 2, the City of Lebanon filed a petition of condemnation in Marion Circuit Court against Barry Bright of South Jordan, Utah, and his relatives.
The city is seeking to condemn the property at 304 E. Walnut Street, which is at the corner of Woodlawn and Walnut Streets. According to the petition, the property is “vacant, abandoned and neglected.”
The petition notes that in its current state, the property is a public nuisance, and therefore, it needs to tear down dilapidated structures on the property to enhance safety, health and welfare in the community.
