The American Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, June 19, at St. Augustine Parish Hall.
Reservations for annual meeting of the local chapter of the American Red Cross due today
All American Red Cross members are invited to the annual membership meeting Monday, June 24 at 6 p.m., at the Bourbon City Bistro located at 1008 Commerce Blvd in Bardstown. The annual business meeting will begin following dinner. For reservations please all the Red Cross office or send an e-mail including the name of attendees to firstname.lastname@example.org or (502) 348-1893. Reservations are due by today, Wednesday, June 19.
It’s Five O’clock Somewhere
The Marion County Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly networking event, It's Five O'clock Somewhere, at 5:01 p.m., Thursday, June 20. The event is being sponsored by Job Master Rental and will be held at their store located at 65 Sulpher Springs Road in Lebanon. A ribbon cutting will also be held at 5 p.m. celebrating the new location.
There will be a bike nite every third Thursday of every month starting June 20 at Kroger from 5:30 p.m.-? Cancel if rain.
Board of elections
The Marion County Board of Elections will meet at 10 a.m. Friday, June 21 in the clerkÆs office in the David R. Hourigan Government Office Building, 223 N. Spalding Avenue.
Concert at Loretto Motherhouse
There will be a free concert at 7 p.m., Friday, June 21, at Loretto Motherhouse. Alan Ohkubo, Joseph Ohkubo, and Younji Lee will be performing. The first half of the concert will include a violin and cello duo and a solo cello piece. The second half of the concert will feature the Mendelssohn Piano Trio #1 in d minor. The public is invited to attend.
There will be a benefit dance/auction for Russ Mattingly from 8 p.m.-12 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at the St. Francis Activity Center in Loretto. All proceeds will go toward medical expenses.
The St. Augustine 8th Grade Youth Travelers will sponsor a car wash Saturday, June 22 from 9 a.m. till noon behind McDonaldÆs, 503 W. Main St., to raise funds for the studentsÆ Washington DC trip.
4-H Sewing Day Camp
There will be a 4-H Sewing Day Camp from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, June 24, at the Marion County Extension Office for girls and boys ages 9-18. Cost is free, but space is limited. Please call (270) 692-2421 to reserve your spot by Friday, June 21.
The Marion County Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly luncheon at noon, Thursday, June 27. The luncheon is being sponsored by Coleman Crest Dairy Farm. The guest speaker will be Denise Jones, manager of industry relations, Southeast United Dairy Industry Association. The luncheon will be catered by Joe's Deli on Main and will be held at the Marion County Extension Office on Fairground Road. Please RSVP by Friday, June 21, by calling (270) 692-9594.
There will be a benefit dance/auction for Mike Hill from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, July 20 at McBÆs, formerly Big JimÆs. There will be a D.J. and the Backstreet Band. Auction will be from 7-9 p.m. and the dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. All proceeds will go toward burial expenses.
