The Marion County Youth Basketball league will have sign-ups from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27 at West Marion and Lebanon Elementary schools. Registrations are for boys and girls ages 8-11. Current physicals are required for all players before participating in the league.
Ham Days blood drive
The American Red Cross is sponsoring a blood drive during Marion County Country Ham Days. The drive will take place from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, on the American Red Cross bus, which will be located on Spalding and Main Streets in Lebanon.
SCMS Chorus to present “Rock ‘n Roll Forever’ musical
The St. Charles Middle School Chorus, under the direction of Kandice Spalding, will present their first musical of the year, “Rock ‘n Roll Forever” at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 30, in the school gymnasium. Everyone is welcome to stroll down memory lane with Elvis, James Brown, The Beatles and many more.
There will be a bus trip to Horseshoe Casino to benefit St. Jude Children Hospital on Oct. 12. The bus will leave from the front of the hospital at 3 p.m. and will return to the bus from the casino at 10 p.m. There are 48 seats available on a first come first serve basis. Children’s chorus program meeting
Students in grades three through 12 will have a new opportunity to show off their talents through a children’s chorus program offered by the Continuing and Community Education program at St. Catharine College. An information meeting for parents and students regarding the new chorus program will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 3, in Angelic Hall at Centre Square in Lebanon. Topics discussed will include auditions, times of rehearsals and performances and the cost of tuition to participate.
