Inter-County Energy members in the Paint Lick and Gilberts Creek sections of Garrard County found themselves without power recently after thieves stripped copper ground wires from the Garrard County Substation on Highway 52 outside of Lancaster.
The outage lasted two-hours and fifteen minutes while crews shifted the load from the disabled substation to the Buckeye Substation in Garrard County. Six-hundred and seventy-seven Inter-County members were affected by the outage.
