William Scott Miller was buried Monday afternoon at the Lebanon National Cemetery.
Miller, 42, of Frankfort died after he was shot Dec. 22 while he was driving a semi-truck on Interstate 635, according to The (Frankfort) State-Journal.
Various national news sources reported that the suspected shooter, a former Utah state trooper, Brian Smith, killed himself Tuesday, Dec. 23.
Miller was one of two people killed during the rush-hour shootings, and Dallas police praised his driving for preventing injuries to others who were on the road with him.
