Marion County High School senior Brooks Divine headed to Broadbent Arena this past weekend to compete in the Mason Dixon Games, which are the indoor state track and field championships in Kentucky. Last year, Divine brought home the state championship in the pole vault and was out to defend his title.
Not only did Divine repeat his performance, he broke the class AA state meet record in the pole vault event. Divine cleared 13’8” to bring home the title and eclipsed the previous record of 13’6”, which was set in 2000.
