Doctor Street man gets five years for assault

Joshua Chad Greene, 21, of 666 Doctor Street in Lebanon violated his probation by absconding supervision, continued drug and alcohol use, failure to report change of address, failure to complete treatment and new charges. He was sentenced to five years on an underlying charge of assault under extreme emotional disturbance.

In other circuit court news:
- Kenneth Tyrone Furmon, 43, of 445 Elm Street in Lebanon had his probation revoked for a new conviction and failure to pay fines and costs. He was sentenced to three years in prison on an underlying charge of DUI fourth offense.
- William Boblitt, 37, of 399 Kelly Shop Road in Springfield pled guilty to first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance first offense and trafficking in marijuana less than five pounds. His sentencing has been scheduled for April 25.

- Joseph D. Goff Jr., 36, of 1355 Bradfordsville Highway in Lebanon had charges of fourth-degree assault (third or subsequent offense) and third-degree terroristic threatening dismissed because the victim did not want to press charges.
Goff received two years of pretrial diversion for criminal possession of a forged instrument. As a condition of the diversion, the defendant acknowledges that if he has any more assault charges or violent offenses, then the Commonwealth will move for immediate revocation.
