Do Marion County residents bleed Wildcat blue or Cardinal red?
On Tuesday they will have the opportunity to prove which color they bleed during the Battle of the Bluegrass blood drive at Centre Square Gym.
Tuesday, Aug. 23
Centre Square Gym
239 Spalding Ave.
During this annual Kentucky Blood Center (KBC) promotion all donors will receive a Battle of the Bluegrass T-shirt and a chance to win a pair of tickets to the Kentucky - Louisville football game on Sept. 17.
Everyone who registers to donate will also be entered to win a 2011 Toyota Tacoma, the big prize in KBC's Pick Up the Blood Supply summer promotion that ends Sept. 16.
Donors will be asked to vote for one of the schools when they register to give blood. The Battle of the Bluegrass helps ensure a good blood supply heading into Labor Day weekend. KBC supplies the blood products for patients at Spring View Hospital.
