I first ran these green tomato recipes in October 1981 and still get requests for them at this time of the year.
If I have green tomatoes of any size, I will fry them. But, I have a lot of little ones that I don't want to go to waste.
The green tomatoes need to be grates for these recipes.
I have found the easiest way to do that is to cut them into chunks, put them in the blender with plain water, grate, then dump them in a colander to drain off the water.
That works pretty well.
The jam is very delicious and looks like red raspberry jam.
