Dove, goose season open Sept. 1

Last week I talked about dove season opening on Sept. 1. What I failed to mention was that you can't start hunting until 11 a.m. That's only on Sept. 1! Why? I have no idea cause the rest of the season you can start a half-hour before sunrise.
I also didn't mention that squirrel season opens on Aug. 18. While I enjoy squirrel hunting I prefer to wait until it gets cooler. There's just something about keeping one eye on the trees for squirrels and one on the ground for snakes!
