The Marion County Board of Education unanimously voted March 8 to adopt a resolution for a drug-testing program at Marion County High School for the 2011-12 school year.

How it's going to be implemented hasn't been determined yet.

The board can make the program be voluntary in nature, or it can target specific groups of students, such as students involved in athletics, extracurricular activities or all students that drive to school.

Currently, 92 school districts in the state have drug-testing programs in place.

Do you support drug-testing at the high school? (Why or why not?)

If you do support it, how do you think it should be implemented?

What's with all the drug

What's with all the drug testing money wasting programs? Wouldn't it be better to invest all those money in an educative program, prevention is always the best choice, I learned few things about that during my online health administration program.

I most definitely do support

I most definitely do support drug testing in high-schools and there are so many reasons why think this way, one of the most important is the high drug incidence on the streets. Kids are vulnerable and prefer to ignore the warnings instead when it comes to drugs. I recently read some drug related statistics on this holistic drug treatment resource, once you read that you'll support drug testing too.
