The efforts to bring E911 to Marion County are continuing, but full implementation is still a year or more away, according to local officials.
"Hopefully within a year we can be there," Marion County Judge/Executive John G. Mattingly said.
Lebanon Mayor Gary Crenshaw was a bit more cautious.
"My guess is that we're 18 months to 24 months off," he said.
Nevertheless, both think the county is moving closer to providing E911 service.
