Eight die on Kentucky roads

Preliminary statistics indicate that eight people died in seven separate crashes on Kentucky roadways from Monday, Jan. 17, through Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011.
All of the crashes involved motor vehicles and four of the victims were not wearing seat belts. Single-fatality crashes occurred in Hardin, Jefferson, Knott, Lewis, Union and Warren counties.
A double-fatality crash occurred in Martin County and the victims were not wearing seat belts.
