EKU students earn awards and graduate

Eastern Kentucky University recognized 884 graduates at the conclusion of the Fall 2011 semester.
Local EKU graduates honored during commencement ceremonies on Dec. 18 include:
Blake Marie Henderson of Gravel Switch (bachelor’s of science in agriculture), Jason Lyle Cornish of Lebanon (bachelor’s of science in criminal justice), Kimberly Nicole Yankey (general studies in business and technology) and Loren F. Taylor of Lebanon (wildlife management).
EKU also announced that 2,726 students earned dean’s list honors for the fall 2011 semester. The list includes: Jennifer Lynn Reynolds, Loren F. Taylor, Corey Matthew Wible and Kimberly Nicole Yankey, all of Lebanon; Erin Victoria Ballard of Loretto and Christopher Carl Robey of St. Francis.
To achieve dean’s list honors at Eastern, students attempting 14 or more credit hours must earn a 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0. Students attempting 13 credit hours must earn a 3.65 GPA, and students attempting 12 credit hours must earn a 3.75 GPA.
