Marion County Emergency Management Director Hayden Johnson is warning people to used "extreme caution" if they are considering a controlled burn Wednesday, April 23.
The combination of dry air and steady north winds increases the risk of wildfires Wednesday afternoon and evening, he announced.
The relative humidity is expected to drop into the mid-20 percent range this afternoon and remain low into the early evening hours. Johnson encouraged people who are considering a controlled burn today to consider another time if possible.
