Employee’s lawsuit against school board dismissed

A lawsuit filed against the Marion County Board of Education almost three and half years ago was dismissed March 7 by Marion Circuit Judge Dan Kelly.
The original complaint was filed in August of 2009 by Martha Spalding, a district employee. According to her complaint, Spalding started working for Marion County schools in 2000, noting that she was “duly certified” by the Education Professional Standards Board.
