Event raised funds for The Caring Place

The 1st annual Stick Horse-Egg & Spoon Derby was held on April 30 at Graham Memorial Park in Lebanon. The event attracted a crowd of an estimated 250 people from Lebanon, Springfield, Bardstown and Danville. More than 25 children raced in the Kid’s Derby.
According to organizer Elizabeth Wallen, the event was a big success and raised $2,600 for The Caring Place. In addition, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Gravel Switch organized a roadblock fund raiser also held on Saturday, April 30, and raised $1,880 for The Caring Place.
