Preliminary statistics* indicate that 15 people died in 15 separate crashes on Kentucky’s roadways from Monday, July 9 through Sunday, July 15, 2012.
Fourteen of the victims were traveling in motor vehicles. Nine were not wearing seat belts. Two of the fatalities were the result of crashes involving alcohol.
One fatality was the result of a motorcycle crash and was not wearing a helmet.
