Fiscal Court approves $4,000 for animal shelter

To say the Marion County Animal Shelter has been overwhelmed in recent months would be an understatement. With this in mind, citizen June Sooter appealed to the Marion County Fiscal Court to assist the shelter and its employees.

"They're overburdened and they need help. And you all need to put the money into that shelter," Sooter said during the Feb. 2 fiscal court meeting.
