The Marion County Fiscal Court has approved purchasing equipment needed to implement Enhanced 911.
Marion County Judge/Executive John G. Mattingly said equipment will cost around $70,000, and it includes hardware, software and monitors for two dispatchers.
The county previously received a $120,000 CMRS grant to help cover the cost of the equipment.
“We’re in good shape as far as the equipment cost,” Mattingly said Monday in a phone interview.
