The Marion County Fiscal Court has approved the purchase of a generator for $1,000 during its Dec. 20 meeting. The generator will be used to power the county’s communications trailer, which is intended to serve as a mobile command center for emergency services.
Gary Luce of the Marion County Rescue Squad said they learned at the funeral for Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy Anthony Rakes that their current generator was not sufficient to power the trailer.
