The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch from 3 p.m.July 10 through 6 a.m. Thursday, July 11.
The watch includes several parts of Kentucky, including Marion and surrounding counties. A flash flood watch means conditions could develop that lead to flash flooding.
A line of storms is expected to move through the region from the north this afternoon. According to the weather service, average rainfall in the area will be a half-inch to one inch. However, if multiple storms hit the same area or if the storms move slower than anticipated, some areas could receive higher amounts of rain.
