If Jeff Robbins preaches physicality then this is where his teaching begins.

The Marion County High School football team will head back into the weight room to start building the foundation for next season, just a little over a month after their final game of the season.

Robbins said the team, including current eighth-graders, is to report to off-season conditioning on Jan. 4 after school at the MCHS fitness center. The players will begin lifting on Monday, Wednesday and Friday's for the remainder of the spring semester.

Robbins said the workouts will generally run from 3:30 p.m. until 5:15 p.m. Robbins emphasized how important it was for incoming freshman to attend the workouts.
