Former MAC employee charged with disorderly conduct

Elizabeth Ann Newton, 26, of 807 West Finley Ridge Road in Campbellsville received 24 months of probation for disorderly conduct stemming from sexual contact with an inmate.

Newton was originally charged with second-degree sexual abuse, but the charge was amended to disorderly conduct. Newton was also ordered to stay away from Marion Adjustment Center.

According to a report filed by Trooper Fred Cornett of the Kentucky State Police, he was called to MAC July 13 in response to a complaint that a guard had been caught kissing and touching inmate Danny Gregory. According to the KSP report, Newton stated that it did occur.
