Saturday morning the Marion County Knights freshman team competed in the 20th district tournament held at Marion County High School. The Knights headed into the tournament as the No. 1 seed with an unblemished record of 6-0 on the regular season. After dispatching the Campbellsville Eagles in their opening round game by a score of 57-35, Marion County faced a tough opponent in Taylor County. After a close and hard fought game throughout, the freshman Knights were able to come back and defeat the Cardinals with a final score of 48-46 to capture the 2010-11 20th district title.
