Funeral services for Marion County Sheriff's Deputy Anthony Rakes will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Marion County High School.
Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Friday at Bosley Funeral Home, 246 S. Proctor Knott Avenue in Lebanon, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the high school.
The funeral procession will leave the high school on US 68, then turn right onto Corporate Drive. The procession will turn left on Spalding Avenue, past the David R. Hourigan Center, which houses the Marion County Sheriff's Office. The procession will then turn right onto Main Street and left onto Proctor Knott Avenue (Hwy. 49). The procession will continue to the Old Liberty Cemetery in Bradfordsville.
Burial will be in the Old Liberty Cemetery in Bradfordsville.
Marion County Emergency Management Director Hayden Johnson said Hwy. 49 may be closed from Metz Drive to Hwy. 337 during the funeral procession.
The Marion County Judicial Center is closed today, and Marion County Judge/Executive John G. Mattinlgy has announced that all county offices will be closed Saturday to allow employees to pay their respects to Deputy Rakes and his family.
