Funeral for former St. Augustine pastor is Saturday

Rev. Ivo Edward Cecil died Jan. 30 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was 85.
Cecil was a Navy veteran who served during World War II, and he was ordained as a priest in 1954. He served as several churches through Kentucky including a more than 13 years as the pastor at St. Augustine in Lebanon (1983-1996).
Visitation for Cecil will be held from 2-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3 at Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home, 212 S. Third Street in Bardstown, and at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral, 310 W. Stephen Foster Avenue in Bardstown.
