George named National Player of the Yea

Katie George was recently selected as the National Player of the Year by PrepVolleyball.com.

George, who played for Assumption in Louisville, led the team in several major statistical categories, and has signed to play college volleyball at the University of Louisville. Her team completed a near perfect season with a 43-1 record and took their second straight state title.

George had already received Kentucky's Miss Volleyball and Gatorade Player of the Year. 

She is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Salem George of Lebanon.
